A Football Resume You Can Actually Use
So just what is a football resume?
Websters dictionary lists the following when you look up the definition of the word “resume”.
Resume: a short account of one’s career and qualifications.
There are several ways to document a football coach’s career and qualifications. How his or her players perform is certainly near or at the top of the list. Your player’s performance on and off the field is something we all take very personally. So does an interview committee.
However; fair or not, this is often accredited in large part to the player’s talent. For a coach, it is going to come down to more than how your players play. It’s always going to be about your experience or your resume.
Your Football Resume Is What You Will Use To Show The Committee How You Teach
Sadly enough, a lot of good football coaches don’t document their experience. You are certainly a better football coach than you were last year (or at least you better be). Keeping an account of your professional growth is critical. All football coaches need a football resume.
One of the ways is to record this and to organize your personal football playbook. Playbooks are not just for the players. If they were then ball coaches would not lug around boxes and boxes of their old playbooks every time they move.
These football playbooks are your resume. They are, as the dictionary says, “an account of your experience, career, and qualifications.” FirstDown PlayBook was created, in part, based on this. It all started when company founder, Charlie Coiner wanted a better way to keep track of his past playbooks as he traveled the country coaching football.
Today, things are much easier for you as a football coach. FirstDown PlayBook provides you technology that allows you to record, organize and most importantly never lose your hard work. This way your “football resume” is always at your fingertips when you need it.
