Wing T Counter Boot Can Be A Pain
By FirstDown PlayBook on Jun 20, 2020
The Wing T Counter Boot can be hard on a defense. Think about it. It’s a counter off of a run game that has plenty of counters in it. Now we all know that the Wing T or FlexBone offenses do not strike fear in the heart of a defensive coordinator with their pass game.
It is normally all of the misdirection and assignment football that they force on a defense that is the problem. That doesn’t mean that you can fall asleep on the potential for a big pass play off of the run. This counter boot can be a huge pain in the rear to defend if you are playing defense.

It has the look of a sweep, then it looks like counter and finally it has the quarterback launching it over your corner’s head to the tight end os split end.
