90 Day Flag Football Memberships

If you spend time watching any NFL team you could be forgiven if after awhile it reminded you of a flag football game. NFL quarterbacks are so talented that the run game seems like an afterthought at times. The short passing game to the slot receiver has become just another way to run the football. There is a lesson here for all of you NFL Flag coaches out there.

The passing game can in some ways becomes the run game for some teams as you break them down. The ball is out so quickly that other than a batted ball there is not pressure threat to the quarterback. If you are coaching a young flag football team you recognize the similarities with what you face.

Every NFL team seems to have a great slot receiver with great feel and quicks in space. When you combine this with a quarterback and receiver who seem to be able to read each other’s mind with option routes, it is a powerful tool.

Too Many Flag Football Coaches Make It Harder Than It Needs To Be

Well, we don’t all have an NFL slot receiver on our NFL Flag team but everything is relative. The flag football team you are playing probably doesn’t have a great nickel DB to match up with your slot receiver either. Let’s face it, your young NFL Flag quarterback is going to complete a lot more passes to a slot receiver than they will to an outside receiver running a go route.

This 6v6 flag football play gives you a way to feature your slot receiver while at the same time progressing through a read if they double him or cheat to take him away. Just in case you think we are just talking to young 5v5 flag football coaches…don’t. You adult flag football teams should take note too.

There are thousands of 4v4, 5v5, 6v6, 7v7 and 8v8 flag football plays where this came from. All of them have player assignments and coaching points. Oh yeah, you can edit all of these plays too with the best football playbook Draw and Edit tool available!
