It is inevitable. When a sport grows as fast as flag football is growing, there is a lot of growing pains. There is also a lot of confusion. So many people wanting to get involved with it and most have little to no background with it. After working with flag football coaches, players and playbooks for over a decade now, we have seen it up close.
Here at FirstDown PlayBook we understand that much of it is to be expected. After all, there are so many different ways to play this great game. We have witnessed flag football being played with as few as three players and with as many as eleven.
Some leagues allow shield blocking on offense and others do not. When you rush the quarterback, one league may allow this once a horn sounds and others have a restraining line. Can you blitz the quarterback with more than one pass rusher? Depends on what league you play or coach in.
For all of these reasons and many more FirstDown PlayBook has become flag football headquarters for anyone and everyone coaching or playing this game. This has evolved over time because we are coaches and understand the game and it’s many formats.
