I was talking to a FirstDown PlayBook coach today and he had a question or two about how he could use his playbook better. He asked a question that hit me right between the eyes. His question? “Coach, how can I reorder my playbooks and plays in FirstDown PlayBook?” Immediately I realized this football coach did not know you can use the FirstDown PlayBook Drag & Drop feature.

Once I showed him he was “Oh man I never knew that.” Okay, if you are young, you are thinking “Well, of course”. If you are my age, you understand, as a young coach, we “spliced tape” and other things that are way outdated. You youngsters look that up. It was hard. It was inefficient. Thankfully, we have advanced

So why an entire blog about something as simple as FirstDown PlayBook Drag & Drop? Because that is what drives football coaches crazy. The simple little things that some playbooks don’t offer you. Another example of this is some playbooks don’t even offer you the ability to use your playbook on a Mac or iPhone. Really?

The FirstDown PlayBook Drag & Drop Feature Is One More Way We Save You Time

There has been an unintended consequence of trusting our playbook organization to video people over the years. A simple thing like Drag & Drop makes life so much easier for a football coach. Yet, it does not exist in all of the areas you need it. These are some of the same people who want you to create a football playbook without a curved line. Seriously Hudl…

Keep this in mind. Regardless of the level you coach. It could be a high school football program, maybe a BCS contender; we know coaching football is hard. Yet, if you own a video company, odds are that you have never slept at the office or missed putting your kid to bed.

Here at FirstDown PlayBook we have coached football and we understand that time is a rare commodity. Everything we do here, we do with saving you time and helping you coach football better. Even if it’s something small like our FirstDown PlayBook drag & drop feature.
