We talk a lot here on All 22 Tuesday about the tight windows that present themselves to offenses. Often times the window is a very small window between to very talented defenders

Today’s window, however is one of a different sort. We are not going to pretend to know exactly what the thought was on this play as it was drawn up. It appears to be a simple sprint or roll out to Mahomes’s left. The play side receivers are running some type of stick or option routes.

DJ Jones Keeps Them Clean

What ends up happening is the Saints have pretty much everything covered. This is when Patrick Mahomes does what he does. He extends the play and loses ground as Mecole Hardman travels across the field from the backside.

When Mahomes lets this ball go it is a pretty simple proposition. Hardman, If you want it you are going to have to get it in the very corner of the football field.

As you will see here, Hardman does just that. He uses the last few inches of the 120 yards long and 53 & 1/3 yards wide football field for 6!
