3 NFL Flag Defenses To Know
Doesn’t it seem strange that with so many instant NFL Flag play gurus that show up this time of year, rarely do you see anything about NFLFlag Defenses. There are several reasons for this. The first is that most coaches just concede that man coverage is the only defense they can play.
They may be right if the players are 5-6-7 years old. However, as you start getting to 8-9-10 you can find yourself in a different game. Granted the quarterbacks are not likely to be dominant but they can throw well enough to expose you if you play man coverage every snap.
The second reason is you won’t find NFL Flag Defenses out there is that (Buyer Beware) the person talking about flag football does not know much about it. Often it is a novice who has coached their son’s flag football team a few years who has decided to draw pass plays. No coaching points. No play instructions. And often no realistic logic for how your team can actually pull off the plays.

Finally, what they are really trying to do is catch you at a desperate moment when you will pay for something totally useless once you have it. “Offense sells and defense wins games” is true for NFL Flag plays too.
FirstDown PlayBook has NFL Flag plays and NFL Flag Defenses. These plays are drawn up by real NFL coaches. Are these defenses and plays as complex as what we coached in the NFL? Of course not but they have football experience behind them. Football experience that you can use if you have not coached much.
