Flag Football

Most 5v5 flag football formations will have the receivers distributed across the field somewhat evenly between both sides of the center to insure that defense has to cover the entire field. However, sometimes you can add a little deception to your flag football offense by overloading one side or the other. This NFL Flag football Trips formation does just that.

Today we break down this 5v5 flag football trips formation play that gets the  ball in the hands of one of your best players with the option to run or throw the football. It can be hard to generate a run game out of this Trips formation. Why? Well, all of your players are lined up on the line of scrimmage.

Here’s your solution for this issue. Anyone who has watched football at any level knows that the ball carrier does not need to be in the backfield. Players like Tyreek Hill have made that very obvious. You can use the same philosophy here with this Rattlesnake Reverse pass.

You will also notice that we have the pass going to right. This is because your reverse runner is likely a right handed thrower. This is a much easier throw if they are going to their throwing arm. If your reverse runner is a lefty then you will obviously want to switch the play around. As you edit our plays or draw yours you can choose the field background to help teach too.
