Flag Football

There are so many things that are different from tackle football and flag football. Here is one thing that is not. You had better get your defense adjusted regardless of your style of play. When we designed your flag football defense PlayGrids we had all this in mind. We were specifically thinking about NFL Flag coaches working with young players.

Most coaches focus on their flag football formations and plays. That’s fine but obviously, your defense is critical too. You better be organized about your defensive adjustments too or your life will be miserable.

Having said that, coaching flag football can be more complicated if you want to play multiple defenses. The FirstDown PlayBook PlayGrid function makes all this much easier for you. Why? Well most coaches and players are very visual learners. If you coach NFL Flag Football aged players, you know what I mean.

As a flag football coach, if you can put two different situations right next to one another as you teach, you will be way ahead of the game. Your players will then be able to compare the differences and similarities. Your players are always looking at one thing first. What is my job? Now you can show them any differences.

As a NFL Flag football coach or an adult flag football coach you need a quick and efficient way to get this across to them. Our flag football defense PlayGrids makes this easy. We are using this flag football defense situation in the video below as an example.

Flag Football Defense: Man Vs Zone Coverage…

Regardless of the age you coach, with flag football you will play man coverage a lot. It is simpler and younger kids understand it better than zone coverage. However; you better not play it to much. Unless you are coaching 8 year old players, it’s good a good idea to play a little zone coverage
