FirstDown PlayBook Supporting Special Olympics Georgia and Byron Jamar Terry’s Upcoming BJT Inspire Football Camp

By FirstDown PlayBook on Feb 9, 2026

Special Olympics Georgia is partnering with Atlanta-based sports media personality Byron Jamar Terry (BJT) to host the upcoming BJT Inspire Football Camp on Saturday, February 21, from 1–4 PM in Marietta, Georgia at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy.

The camp builds on the success of its inaugural event in March 2025. That event brought together young athletes from across Metro Atlanta for a high-energy, fundamentals-focused day of football. The first camp featured hands-on instruction, mentorship, and skill development led by notable coaches and former college and NFL players, including Latavious Brini and Quincy Carter.

“The camp is about inspiring and teaching life lessons like work ethic and such through sports. The goal is to make a positive impact beyond the field and for the community,” said Terry.

In partnership with Special Olympics Georgia, the BJT Inspire Football Camp is designed to create an inclusive, high-impact environment that supports middle school athletes and under of all abilities. The event emphasizes skill development, confidence building, teamwork, and community engagement.

To support on-field instruction and organization, FirstDown PlayBook is providing digital coaching tools and resources. This will allow the camp’s coaching staff can use to enhance teaching, communication, and player development throughout the event.
