FirstDown PlayBook Attends NAIA National Convention
Over the past several days, Kansas City has played host to the NAIA National Convention. Each year, the NAIA National Convention is a chance for those who work on behalf of the student-athlete to meet with peers. Leaders also engage in professional development and honor those who have excelled throughout the previous year.
Association business is not the only topic at the NAIA National Convention. Each attendee leaves the convention with an understanding of why the NAIA is the best fit for student-athletes. Sessions are offered and tailored according to each position at a school. These groups include CEOs, athletics directors, faculty athletics representatives, conference commissioners, and campus character representatives.
As the Official football playbook of NAIA football and Women’s Flag Football, FirstDown PlayBook was excited to be a part of this year’s convention. We have attended a variety of events. We have attended roundtable discussions that haveand an NAIA sponsor reception.
FirstDown PlayBook’s First Year With The NAIA Produced A National Champion!
FirstDown PlayBook’s first year as the official playbook was a busy one. We worked through two mens football seasons in 2021 due to the pandemic. 2021 also provided us a great opportunity. We were the playbook provider for the first NAIA Women’s Flag Football champions. FirstDown PlayBook’s Kendall Acho was also on hand in Atlanta to see Ottawa edge Keiser in the championship game.
FirstDown PlayBook continues to grow and improve. We look forward to doing it along side of the NAIA and all of it’s member schools!
