East Coast Coaches Meet Caleb Holfoth
Football coaches on the eastern side of this country, you should consider yourself lucky. We are excited to have Caleb Holfoth (pronounced “Whole Fit”) join our staff as your east coast FirstDown PlayBook Coach.
When I was young I got a job once because someone described me to my future employer (Vanderbilt) as a “Football Junkie”. 30 years of NFL & college football later, please allow me to introduce you to another football junkie, Caleb Holfoth.
During my first meeting with this 24 year old I thought he must be lying about his resume. There was so much on it that I thought he must have started when he was 12. Turns out, it is just that Caleb has packed a lot into the past five years or so.
While in college, Caleb did what most overachievers do. He got to work. Caleb negotiated a partnership with the St John’s Athletic Department to broadcast live sports. During this same period of time he was a skycam operator for Ming Entertainment serving ESPN & CBS Sports
Caleb Holfoth Is A Football Grinder. East Coast Ball Coaches Are The Beneficiaries.
Caleb quickly added Pro Football Focus and Prep Redzone to his resume while also studying with Dan Hatman at The Scouting Academy. The Scouting Academy has placed countless students into the NFL and college football as scouts and front office executives.
Before we finish, there is one more small thing. Caleb Holfoth was part of the transition team at the Syracuse recruiting office when Fran Brown took over for Dino Babers as Head Coach. Anyone who has done this, understands how hard it is to be part of a transition. I think most Syracuse fans and even Miami Hurricane fans would agree that Caleb did a good job leaving plenty of talent for the transition.
