This does not necessarily mean that all of your receiver routes need to be 5 yards or shorter. You can still create 2 and 3 level reads that are executed quickly.

It just means that your quarterback and receivers must be on the same page. The ball is going to leave the quarterback’s hand quickly. There is no time for guessing. The receivers need to be exactly where the QB expects them. Any pass protection that is designed will be very limited to how much time it provides. Any time you hear the word “blocking” in the game of flag football, understand it has limitations.
