Youth Football Help & Flag Football Help

As Memorial day rolls around it is the unofficial beginning of summer and with that comes pools and cookouts. What also comes with it is the realization that youth football season will be here in a minute or two.

This is why we are plowing straight ahead with our youth football series dedicated to breaking down all of our youth offensive formations as well as our defenses. Today we will dive into the Power I formation which obviously gives you some punch inside.

NFL Coaches On 12 Solid Youth Football Offenses

We talk about that some as well as how to build in some passing game answers when the defense begins cheating on your run game. We also touch on the advantages and dangers of splitting out your X receiver to the weak side.

This is the third formation we have covered in this series. We will cover them all including the Split Backs formation. Just stay tuned.

Here are links to the two previous formations:

JUMBO FORMATION

Before you dive into today’s youth football formation we also want you to know that starting June 4 we are going host a Youth Football Chalk Talk for anyone who has questions as they prepare for the coming youth football season. This is just going to be a place where you can come to each Tuesday and ask your questions. The old adage of “there are no dumb questions” applies.

FirstDown PlayBook knows that most of you have day jobs and coaching a Pop Warner team is not easy. If we can help, then we will. We will talk a little each week about youth football X and O topics and take any questions you have. It should be fun!

Okay, now let’s get to this Power I formation video…
